Published

on

Brian Ndoori alias Chuck Brian Salvator (That last King), was born on September 14, 1990 in Kisoro District to Mr. Herbert Ndimwami and Ms. Rosemary Namubiru. He has been a fashion stylist and some of his clients include Juliana Kanyomozi, Irene Namubiru, Rena Nalumansi, Leila Kayondo, Exodus and Maurice Kirya, among others.

He was one of the most celebrated makeup artistes, a handsome and good-looking fashionista.

Celebs and Slay queens always spotted him and wanted to always be around him because of his sense of style and his looks. Chuck designed most of the celebrities in Uganda but he mostly worked on Juliana Kanyomozi’s design outfits and these two were very close friends for over 3 years.

At only 28 years, Brian had achieved a lot in his profession of Fashion but unfortunately death took him at an early age.

Brian was among the 120 revellers who had gone to party on the boat cruise operated by Mr. Templar Bisase and wife Sheilah Bisase at Mutima island in Mpatta subcounty Mukono district. Brian’s body was among the 33 discovered on the shores of the lake.

Close friends to Chuck said that he loved water and he even had a tattoo of water drops on his chest. He spent most of his leisure time swimming but unfortunately the same water he loved, took his life.

After his death, most of the artists took to their social media platforms to pour out their heartfelt condolences to the fallen stylist.

“@thatlastking my bestie, I’ve been trying not to believe the news. I’ve been hoping you’ll txt me at some point and tell me yo alright. But I can’t run away from the truth no more. Last time we spoke not too long ago you wanted to buy me a drink, I had to perform at a wedding and I said I can’t make it, but I told you to “have one on me”… I wish I’d come and atleast hang out one last time. Thank you for making me look and feel fabulous with every outfit you handpicked for me, but most of all thank you for being my friend. I’m gonna miss you terribly Chucky. As you chill out in heaven, please have one on me. Till we meet again. I love you. RIP” Juliana posted.

“This morning, I joined the family and friends of our brother Brian Ndoori, commonly known as Chuck in bidding him farewell at St. John Church of Uganda off Mawanda road.  Brian was among the many Ugandans who lost their lives in the boat accident on Saturday.  He has been a fashion designer who has worked closely with many artistes and other entertainers. At only 28, he had achieved a lot in his chosen profession. It is very sad that we lost him at such a young age. We continue to pray for the families of the bereaved, and for the souls of our departed friends to rest in perfect peace,” Bobi wine posted.

“Chuck Brian Salvator what have you done to me how do I go to sleep, how do I wake up please tell me u managed to swim to somewhere and you gonna come tomorrow back tomorrow,” Judith heard posted.

“You’re supposed to be the last king, you can’t die now. This Damn Boat cruise claimed your life bro, wakeup Chuck Wakeup u can’t just die like that This must be a bad dream,” gone too soon RIP,” Douglas Lwanga posted.

“Chuck was nice loving man. friendly and caring, he can’t be replaced forever. I’m hurt beyond. One day i was so broke, the only person to talk to was Chuck, others expose you on social media but Chuck gave me accommodation including cooking, he was a friend indeed,” socialite Bad Black wrote.

Chuck was laid to rest on the 26th of November 2018.

Published

on

Quiin Abenakyo has been crowned Miss World Africa in this years’ Miss world finale that took place in sanya. China.

Quinn is the first Miss Uganda to make it to the top 5 finalists after her idea about fighting Juvenile pregnancies got her votes.

The 68th Miss World title went to Mexico’s Vanessa Ponce de Leon with Thailand’s Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan as first runner up.

Belarus’ Maria Vasilevich Belarus is the second runner up with Jamaica’s Kadija Robinson in fourth place while Quiin is in position number five.

A computer science student, the 22-year-old Abenakyo, hails from Mayuge District in Eastern Uganda. Abenakyo was born premature, at seven months, and had to be in an incubator.

“My mother told me that I was a very tiny little baby, and when I miraculously survived the ordeal, she named me Quinn (from the title Queen). To her, I was a very special child,” she said.

As Abenakyo grew up, the name in some way influenced her actions.

“I did not want to soil my name with bad actions,” she added.

So, most of the time, Abenakyo tried to be disciplined and obedient. She believes that the name has also shaped her destiny as seen from her recent Miss Uganda win.
