Bobi Wine To Reschedule His Consultative Meetings After Meeting With Police And EC Boss…

Published

on

Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is set to reschedule his countrywide consultation.

While addressing the press today at the people power offices in Kamwokya, Bobi Wine said that they have agreed on a number of issues in their meeting with Electoral commission (EC) boss Simon Byabakama and officials from police which police pledged to respect. “When we went to EC after their invite, we raised our issues and police admitted their wrong doings and promised to observe the law by providing peace and protection,” he said.

He added that the EC Boss Simon Byabakama has allowed them to reschedule their consultation meeting. “We were told to reschedule our consultations, write a new letter to both the EC and police informing them about our programs and we are ready to observe the law,” Bobi Wine added. Police has cancelled three People Power consultative meetings, in Gayaza, Gulu and Lira.

However, Bobi Wine insisted that they fulfilled all the police and EC requirements and police was expected to protect them not to torture and arrest them.

“We wrote to EC and observed the law including POMA but unfortunately even after we observed the law, the police blocked our meetings,” Bobi Wine said.

State House Disowns Kusasira, Buchaman: They Are Not Entitled To Salary…

Published

on

Appearing before the Presidential Affairs Committee, State house comptroller, Lucy Nakyobe has said that musicians Catherine Kusasira and Mark Bugembe alias Buchaman are not Presidential Advisors because the president has not yet put their appointment in writing.

Nakyobe and a team from the State house had appeared before the committee to Present the institution’s budget estimate.

The repport compiled by the State House team shows that there were no changes in the amount estimated for Presidential Advisors’ salaries even though the President had appointed a few more in 2019.

When the MPs on the committee tasked the comptroller on the salaries of presidential advisors, Nakyobe said, “It is for that reason that they are not entitled to salary as State House staff.”

Recently, the Ministry of Public Service made it clear that Kusasira and Buchaman were not civil servants yet and are not entitled to the salary.

“The appointments are based on one’s social standing, it can be on technical competence, but we have not seen Buchaman and Kusasira’s appointments,” David Karubanga the State Minister for Public service said.

Late last year, President Museveni announced the appointment of Catherine Kusasira and Buchaman as advisors.

Pastor Bujjingo Is A Revolutionist Of Our Time, Like Martin Luther, God Is Using Him To Bring Revival To Our Nation: He Has Forced Us To Read The Bible To Defend Our Faith – Edward Kabunga…

Published

on

Edward Kabunga has praised House of Prayer’s ministries International Pastor Alouysious Bujjingo as a revolutionist of our time for forcing Ugandans to search the scriptures and defend the faith.

Kabunga equated Bujjingo to Martin Luther, a German priest and theologian of the Protestant Reformation who taught that salvation and, consequently, eternal life are not earned by good deeds but are received only as the free gift of God’s grace through the believer’s faith in Jesus Christ as redeemer from sin, even though the ‘men of God’ during Luther’s time preached that salvation was earned through good deeds.

Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo has caused a storm in the religious circles and has come under fire over a statement he made recently on marriage vows.

According to Bujjingo, there is no scripture in the Holy Book that says that married people can only separate when one of them is dead. Bujjingo says that because of this unbiblical vow, so many people including religious leaders have lost their lives and many are suffering silently in abusive marriages and can’t come out because they made the vow.

Bujjingo even challenged those who are against him to come to his Salt Media TV/radio station and they have a live open debate by reading the scriptures live on TV.

Those who support Bujjingo say that the marriage vow is from the Book of Common Prayers (BCP) which was authored by English Reformation following the break with Rome.

Wikipedia says, “Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is the short title of a number of related prayer books used in the Anglican Communion, as well as by other Christian churches historically related to Anglicanism. The original book, published in 1549 in the reign of Edward VI, was a product of the English Reformation following the break with Rome.

Some examples of well-known phrases from the Book of Common Prayer are:

  • “Speak now or forever hold your peace” from the marriage liturgy.
  • “Till death us do part”, from the marriage liturgy.[e]
  • “Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust” from the funeral service.
  • “From all the deceits of the world, the flesh, and the devil” from the litany.
  • “Read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest” from the collect for the second Sunday of Advent.
  • “Evil liver” from the rubrics for Holy Communion.
  • “All sorts and conditions of men” from the Order for Morning Prayer.
  • “Peace in our time” from Morning Prayer, Versicles.

However, those against Bujjingo, led by Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni, the Bishop of West Ankole, maintain that the vow is biblical.

Below is Edward Kabunga’s submission verbatim:

The message of Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo is like that of the Revolutionist Martin Luther because it has caused many to read their Bible. This is a blessing in disguise. Just like in the dead lion killed by Samson; when he went back, he found honey in it!

God can use anything or anyone to bring revival. In our days, He has decided to use pastor Aloysius Bujjingo to bring revival to our nations. The man has put the nation on tension!!! (Banange omusajja atutadde kubukenke obutalaba omutume Deo Mukasa Balabyekubbo)

The question is; ” Who is the beneficiary in what is happening to the church and nation?” In my opinion, God is the one benefiting from what is happening. Philippians 1:15-18

V15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry but other from good will. V18 What then? Only that in every way whatever in pretence or truth Christ is proclaimed and in that rejoice.

NB: We are now in search for Scriptures in order to defend our faith. Don’t be angry with Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo.

(Tuli mukutikula byawandiikibwa emisana na kiro okwetasa!!nokunonya Katonda. Ekyo kyebayita okudda obugya abantu bonna okudamu okunonya ebyawandikibwa ku nsonga ezitalizimu. Kale Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo temunyigira!)

Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo is a vessel chosen in our generation to bring revival to the church and nations.

Nawangwe In Trouble: Makarere University To Be Investigated And Sanctioned For Procuring Gowns From China – PPDA Boss Ssegawa…

Published

on

The acting Executive Director Public Procurement and Disposal of public asset Authority (PPDA) Uthman Ssegawa has criticized the process followed by Makerere University in procuring graduation gowns for its 70th graduation and threatened to investigate the process that the university fallowed.

While addressing the press today at Uganda Media Center in Kampala, Ssegawa said PPDA is going to investigate the whole process and the University (management and officials) will face the music.

“No government entity is allowed to make such kind of importations; any supply below one Billion should be locally produced. Makerere University student’s gown fall under this category, there was no need for the institution to import them from China because we have many producers in the country,” he insisted.

Makerere University has been on spot for importing the students’ gowns from china which did not come in time and created fear in some graduands.

The current providers in Uganda dealing in manufacturing clothing materials include Nyanza Textile in Jinja, Fine spinners and Sigma neat. Ssegawa added that PPDA Management has contacted the management at Makerere University to provide them with procurement files for the gowns.

“The PPDA law allows that even if you have a contract, it can be amended, we anticipate that Makerere University should have amended so that the suppliers who were contracted buy the resources from Uganda,” he said.

He added that the PPDA is undertaking a contract audit to find out what went wrong. He further applauded Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) for supporting the local companies by buying Uniforms from Ugandan companies and Uganda National Road Authority (UNRA) for awarding about 40% of Ugandans with employment opportunities.
