Chaka Chaka Was Deported Because She Refused To Meet M7 – MP Nambooze…

Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament (MP) Betty Nambooze Bakireke has attacked Uganda police and said they deported South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka on attempts of refusing to visit president Museveni who had ordered for her visit.

In a Facebook post on her page. Nambooze revealed that Chaka Chaka was deported due to political misunderstanding.

“Information reaching us from an insider shows that Chaka Chaka is being persecuted for refusing to meet Mr. Museveni who these days hosts every international musician who comes to Uganda in his bid to get both international and local attention that comes with such personalities,” Nambooze said.

The singer Chaka Chaka had earlier endorsed Kyadondo East legislator and fellow singer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine to stand for president in the forthcoming elections and this allegedly caused some of the Chaka Chaka’s problems.

According to police, Chaka Chaka was granted an ordinary visa that does not allow her perform at any event in Uganda. “Chaka Chaka was granted an ordinary visa which was concealed by the migration office after realizing that she is going to perform on one of the events in Uganda,” Enanga said.

According to Enanga, Chaka Chaka was advised to apply for a working visa because an ordinary visa cannot allow her perform on any event in Uganda. He confirmed that Police together with other security agencies escorted Chaka Chaka to Entebbe airport back to south Africa.

“A security task team in close coordination with immigration officials has deported her to Entebbe airport where she boarded her next flight to South Africa via Kigali,” the police mouthpiece note,” Enanga said.

Meanwhile as Singer Chaka Chaka was being escorted back home, Congolese singer Kanda Bongoman today met president Museveni at his farm in Kisozi.

The Significance Of Bobi Wine’s Afro Comb During His Freedom Online Show On Sunday…

Published

on

Many viewers of People Power presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine’s Freedom Show on Sunday afternoon saw him with an Afro comb in his hair but did not know it significance.

The Afro comb was not for swag, it is a huge political emblem and was a message to those he calls the oppressors.

Forty years ago, the Afro comb was worn in the hair not only as an adornment, but also as a political emblem and a signature of a collective identity. It was recognised as a way of saying no to oppression. Wearing the comb led to a kind of comradeship amongst those whose hair grows up and out, not down.

According to the Guardian, the Afro comb wasn’t very visible previously. And for this reason it has been assumed that the Afro comb was invented in the 1970s. But a new exhibition blows that myth out the water. The Afro comb dates back to ancient Egypt. The oldest comb from the collection is 5,500 years old.

The hundreds of combs on display show that over time the style hasn’t changed. The comb, sometimes called a pick, is commonly upright with long teeth. Sometimes a motif decorates the top. In ancient times it often referenced cultural belonging, and there are artifacts showing how people wore the comb in the hair. Time marches on and culture is always in transition. Now you know that Bobi’s comb was not for swagg but political.

Socialite Sheila Gashumba is busking in the sun after winning the first round against Urban TV’s famous Scoop on Scoop presenter Tina Fierce.

Sheila’s hubby god’s Plan revealed last week that he had put aside a special budget to pay the best lawyer to put a stop on Scoop On Scoop.

Later, Tina through the same show swore that even if it means walking to eternity on foot, she cannot apologise to Sheila and god’s plan.

This evening, Urban TV announced the suspension of Scoop on Scoop in what they termed as a “Season Break”.
