China’s Fearsome Plot To Use COVID-19 Vaccine For Political Dominance Over Western Countries…

    Published

    on

According to Daily Express, China has threatened to leverage a coronavirus vaccine rollout to further its political dominance over western countries, warned Tory MP Tobias Ellwood.

China Ambassador to the UK Liu Xiaoming said on Monday that China will make a coronavirus vaccine a “public good” claiming Beijing will make it accessible to developing countries around the world. He said: “Once the vaccine is available China want to make it a public good, make it especially accessible, available, to developing countries.”

“China is now among the most advanced countries in terms of vaccine research and now we are in the phase two.

“We already have high clinical trials but we want to share with the rest of the world.

“In fact, China is also working with the UK and with other countries, including the United States.”

But Tory MP Tobias Ellwood warned the Chinese Communist Party could use the vaccine as a “leverage”.

He tweeted: “I predicted this. China will leverage vaccine rollout to further its global political influence.”

It comes amid rising tensions between China and the US over the handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

China said on Monday the United States was “addicted to quitting” following a US decision to leave the World Health Organisation (WHO) and said the withdrawal reveals a pursuit of power politics and unilateralism.

Foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told reporters during a daily briefing that the international community disagreed with what he described as the selfish behaviour of the United States.

“The U.S. has become addicted to quitting groups and scrapping treaties,” said Zhao.

President Donald Trump announced on Friday the United States would cut ties with the WHO, accusing the UN agency of becoming a puppet of China.

The WHO has denied Trump’s assertions that it promoted Chinese “disinformation” about the novel coronavirus, which emerged in China late last year.

Trump’s decision follows a May 18 pledge of $2billion (£1.6billion) by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the World Health Assembly – the WHO decision-making body – to help deal with the coronavirus and economic and social development in affected countries, especially developing countries. It was not immediately clear how much of that money would actually go to the WHO.

The EU on Saturday urged the United States to reconsider its decision.

Since taking office, Trump has questioned the value of the United Nations and scorned the importance of multilateralism as he focuses on an “America First” agenda.

He has quit the UN Human Rights Council, the UN cultural agency UNESCO, a global accord to tackle climate change, the Iran nuclear deal and opposed a UN migration pact.

Vatican Launches Probe Into How Pope’s Instagram Account ‘Liked’ Picture Of Semi Nude Brazilian Model…

    Published

    on

The Vatican has opened an investigation after the Pope’s Instagram account was caught “liking” a raunchy picture of a Brazilian model posing in a sexy schoolgirl outfit, an official said on Friday.

Reports and screenshots last week showed that the account of Pope Francis, which has 7.4 million followers, had hit like on the sultry snap of glamour model Natalia Garibotto, 27.

“At least I’m going to heaven,” the model joked upon receiving the Pope’s unlikely blessing, which was removed by a member of his social media team a day later.

“As far as we know the ‘like’ did not come from the Holy See,” a papal spokesperson told the BBC.

He added that the holy father’s social media accounts are managed by a team of people, emphasizing that the horny double tap couldn’t have been executed by Francis himself. The Vatican has now turned to Instagram for answers.

They added that the Vatican and Instagram were trying to establish where the like had originated.

The Pope’s Instagram account – Franciscus – does not appear to have liked any other posts and does not follow any other accounts.

Biden Will Strengthen America’s Ties With Uganda – President M7…

    Published

    on

President Joe Biden (L) and President Museveni (R)

President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni, the president for the Republic of Uganda has projected that the relationship between Uganda and USA will only get better with President elect, Joseph Biden in power.

President Museveni asserted that USA, with its big black population of 47.4 million people, as well as a large Christian population that are linked with Uganda by faith could with deep thinking easily be a natural ally of Uganda and Africa.

“The previous American Presidents have already started on positively using these linkages by putting in place the African Growth And Opportunity Act (AGOA) – a law that, since 18th May 2000, has been giving 6,500 types of African goods, quota free, tax- free access to the USA market. We salute this policy and hope that President Biden will maintain it,” the fountain of honor said, extending his congratulatory and greetings messages from the People of Uganda.

A victory in Pennsylvania apparently secured the electoral college vote for the Democratic nominee, Joseph R. Biden Jr. Across the nation, Biden supporters celebrated as Trump supporters gathered in protest. President Trump has vowed to continue to challenge the results in key states.

“We, therefore, congratulate the American People on exercising their right by, massively,  voting for the candidates of their choice: President Trump and Vice- President  Biden. We congratulate H.E. Biden for winning both the Popular vote and the Electoral College,” Museveni added.

Biden was elected the 46th president of the United States on Saturday, promising to restore political normalcy and a spirit of national unity to confront raging health and economic crises, and making Donald J. Trump a one-term president after four years of tumult in the White House.

Mr. Biden’s victory amounted to a repudiation of Mr. Trump by millions of voters exhausted with his divisive conduct and chaotic administration, and was delivered by an unlikely alliance of women, people of color, old and young voters and a sliver of disaffected Republicans. Mr. Trump is only the third elected president since World War II to lose re-election, and the first in more than a quarter-century.

The result also provided a history-making moment for Mr. Biden’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris of California, who will become the first woman to serve as vice president.

With his triumph, Mr. Biden, who turns 78 later this month, fulfilled his decades-long ambition in his third bid for the White House, becoming the oldest person elected president. A pillar of Washington who was first elected amid the Watergate scandal, and who prefers political consensus over combat, Mr. Biden will lead a nation and a Democratic Party that have become far more ideological since his arrival in the capital in 1973.

MAN CITY vs LIVERPOOL: Today’s Winner Will Most Likely Win The League.

    Published

City's Sterling goes physical with Liverpool's Gomes

Manchester City’s home date with Liverpool will most likely almost decide the season, with the last two English champions in for another projecteion of leading aonther title charge.

The two teams haven’t lost a lot of games over the last few years so they know that the importance of the three points in this one is massive.

It’s going to be very competitive between City and for Liverpool. It will look as though everything up to now has only been a warm-up of sorts for this game. This might most likely be a free scoring game as both sides are yet to fix their defensive worries, contrary to extremely lethal attacking prowess.

The 2020-21 EPL season has so far become so unpredictable, an implication that this is not quite the top-two battle we have become accustomed to seeing between these two sides in recent years, but they remain the favourites for the Premier League title and, even at this stage of the campaign, today’s match could prove to be important in the race.

If Liverpool wins, they will go eight points clear of the team they usurped as champions last season – a significant gap to make up on a team as consistent as the Reds even with a large portion of the campaign still to play.

For Man City however, a home win would make it advantageous, as they would move to within only two points of Jurgen Klopps’s side with a game in hand, it would turn out an encouraging and motivating element for the Cityzens considering they have suffered such an uncharacteristically inconsistent start to the season.

Liverpool, who brought their 30-year wait for top-flight glory to a close in 2019-20, have made their way back to the top.

Jurgen Klopp’s side, who have not been at their consistent best this season, but will still have to prove a point against their new arch rivals in City.

City, who have also struggled for consistency out of the blocks, sit five points off the pace in 10th – although they do have a game in hand.

City go into it after beating Liverpool 4-0 last year but they’ll know that wasn’t the typical Liverpool side, they’d already wrapped up the league by then.

Both sides face some important selection decisions heading into a crunch clash, with untimely injuries working against them.

Dropped points at Leeds United and West Ham United, as well as their chastening 5-2 home defeat to Leicester City, stand out as poor results, but Liverpool have not been immune to such setbacks either – notably their 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa.

Man City are unbeaten in eight games across all competitions and have won their last three without conceding, most recently cruising past Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

It is the first time since September of last year that Man City have kept three consecutive clean sheets, while since their 5-2 defeat to Leicester they have only conceded three times in their eight outings.
