NRM Secretary General Kasule Lumumba has fired back at the party Electoral Commission chairman for constantly making personal attacks on her.
The 45 year old Lumumba, who clarified on many party issues, warned Tang Odoi to stop taking bedroom matters (Private matters) into the public. The former government Chief Whip also revealed that Its through her seductive dancing that the party has been able to achieve big successes.
“I am a woman, I have to dress for My man and lipstick is part of my dressing, my man loves my lipstick so i don’t see why Tanga Odoi shoould make it an issue.”
“By the way, swinging my bum is God given, I didn’t know that his eyes go beyond that, I will continue dancing as I work for my party. I didn’t know that when I dance it pains some people, but God gave me a bum let me dance my ‘Kadodi’ with it. Dancing is part of mobilisation. It looks like Tanga Odoi holds a personal vendetta against me, otherwise why is he against everything I do?” Lumumba wondered.
“He has a problem as a person. His anger against me is more than office matters. I’m going to ask the president to help me ask him what his problem is with me,” Lumumba added.

ON THE ISSUE OF LUMUMBA’S EDUCATION
Lumumba took time to educate Tanga Odoi on how educated she is saying, “I have a bachelors of arts in education decree from Makerere University which I attained in 1997. I also have a masters in international relations which I attained in 2007, so I went to school much as someone (Tanga Odoi) was saying that I didn’t go to school.”
Lumumba also warned Tang Odoi to stop branding him as a poor administrator. “I’m not a poor administrator. It’s under my regime that we have put proper party structures. I put in place systems since 2015, and to show that they are working, we remained unified during the disagreements between Mbabazi and the party chairman (president Museveni), we have won very many by-elections and we own the majority (75% of the 425 MPs ) in parliament.
ON FIRING WORKERS
We are realigning and downsizing so that we can have the right people doing the right thing and who we can take care of with the little we have. We want to professionalize the Secretariat. The chairman (President Museveni) endorsed what we are doing. We paid workers arrears of 7 months, do you think he could endorse all that big payment without his involvement? We need to harmonise and restructure our party and also put proper policies in place,” Lumumba noted.
On allegations that she is trying to get rid of Mbabazi people in the guise of laying off staff, Lumumba refuted the claims saying that she has worked with them since Mbabazi left, “this would not be the right time to get rid of them. If that was the case, I would have fired them when Mbabazi had a big disagreement with the party chairman before the 2016 elections and even left the party, but they (workers) remained working faithfully for the party and we have been moving well with them.”
ABOUT GHOST WORKERS
“We have written several letters calling Tanga Odoi for several meetings and he has always declined, we wanted him to come and look through the party payroll so that he shows us the ghost workers he always talks about, but he never shows up,” Lumumba said.
