How Greedy Men Are Failing Kabaka Radio And TV: We Are Paid Peanuts And It Comes Late, The Bosses Are Running Away With Sacks – Zambali Departure From BBS TV To Nbs Exposes Rot At Bulange

L-R: Joe Kigozi, Joyce Bagala, Kin Kariisa, Zambali and Ismail Sembatya

Buganda Kingdom owned television BBS TV board of Directors are receiving frequent and constant phone calls from Buganda chiefs asking them why their favorite news anchor Zambali Bulasio Mukasa left.

Sources at the Masengere house-based BBS TV have told The Grapevine that clan heads in Buganda, county chiefs and Buganda kingdom ministers were not happy with Zambali’s departure from the kingdom’s TV to Kin Kariisa’s NBS TV because he was a very big brand who inspired young Baganda to work for their king.

“I was surprised to see the way people were concerned over Zambali’s departure, even the kingdom ministers wanted an explanation from the board,” our credible source revealed.

When asked why the so called Zambali supporters don’t put to task the Chief Executive officer of the television to explain, because he is responsible for the day to day running of the television instead of running to the board, the source said that most of the top Buganda ministers feel the CEO has no powers, and the board members are the real people running the show.

A senior reporter at BBS TV revealed to this website that when NBS TV approached Zambali, he first talked to his senior friends at CBS radio and BBS for advice.

“I advised my man to go and look for greener pastures, you know here we enjoy prestige that we are working for the king and always see him whenever he comes to office but we are poorly paid. People out there think that we are highly paid which is wrong, we sometimes even spend three months without pay even though they pay after some time,” a very senior journalist at BBS TV told the Grapevine.

He further told us that many workers at BBS TV are frustrated because while they are receiving peanuts, which come late sometimes, their bosses are walking away with bags of money.

The senior journalist gave Zambali as an example saying CBS radio is dying from the inside because of mismanagement from some top bosses.

“All Zambali’s friends told him that if he refuses the NBS offer, he will die poor and miserable like sports presenter and musician Mark Augustine Makumbi and Mukiibi  Serunjogi died, or suffer humiliation like CBS sports commentator Yusuf Baliruno. Baliruno recently suffered humiliation during his illness at Kiruddu hospital when his employers first failed to offer him any medical assistance until his matter became the talk of town,” the source added.

Zambali after being unveiled at NBS TV

When Ono Bwino newspaper, a Luganda weekly paper ran Baliruno’s story and confession showing how CBS and Mengo establishment neglected him at the time when he needed them most, he was bitterly blasted by his bosses asking him why he ran to the media that he was not helped.

Sources told the Grapevine that it’s against such background and advice from friends that Zambali decided to tender in his resignation letter to his bosses at Masengere.

Our sources further told us that the BBS management tried to convince Zambali in vain. “It was a very hard time for Zambali because he was promised a salary increment, they even promised to pay him on time and a promotion but the man had already made up his mind after meeting with Joel Kigonzi, NBS TV’s chief strategist,” the source added.

At NBS TV, Zambali faces an uphill task of out competing NTV’s new recruit Sandra Nakiwala (from UBC TV).  According to viewership data from Ipsos and other sources, NTV’s Akawungezi news bulletin at 7:00pm beats NBS’s Amasengejje (also at the same time) and Kaliisa has been scratching his head for someone who can favorably compete with NTV’s winning team of Faridah Nakazibwe, Solomon Kaweesa and Walusimbi Frank.

We now wait to see if NTV team that has been boosted with the addition of Sandra Nakiwala will beat NBS TV’s Zambali, Joyce Bagala and Ismail Sembatya.

I Am Not A Beggar Like Kusasira And Bebe Cool Who Don’t Even Have Cards For The Cars M7 Gave Them – Mirundi Praises Generous M7 For Gifting Him With Brand New Car…

President Museveni’s adviser on media Joseph Tamale Mirundi has praised his boss for being a generous person who never forgets his people.

While appearing on a local TV station today, Mirundi revealed that he was recently given a brand-new care Registration Number UG 4008C worth over Shs. 300 million by president Museveni. Mirundi bragged that he was given a new car as a result of his hard work.

“President Museveni is a generous person who does not forget his people, and once someone works hard, he has to be rewarded and I was a hard-working person,” he said.

He added that he was gifted in a different way not like Bebe Cool, Catherine Kusasira, and Ronald Mayinja who do not have the cards to their cars.

Mirundi’s brand new car

“I was given my car with its card. I am not like those other beggars who were denied the cards but given cars. It is not the first time to have a car; I have very many cars parked at my home compound so this is nothing and am not excited,” Mirundi said.

Tamale Mirundi further revealed that he is still a great friend to President Museveni and his State House contract is still on despite the fact that he is not willing to go back in his office and work.

“The president renewed my contract though the Mafias tried to fight it because they know that my presence in State House is a stumbling block to their dangerous plans towards the president. I am assuring you that the president still needs me in office that is why he reassigned me,” Mirundi said.

He refuted allegations that the president gifted him with the car to kill his popularity. “No one will hate me because Museveni has given me a car. I worked for Museveni way back and for a long period of time but the audience never criticized me. This new car is gojng to replace the old car that got spoilt.”

Mirundi vowed to campaign for president Museveni in the coming 2021 elections. “I will use this very car to campaign for Museveni,” Mirundi said.

Security Resumes Operations On Gay Activities Among The Youth After Comedian Karere’s Confession…

A credible source in Uganda police has revealed that the force is going to resume operations in places they suspect are breeding grounds for gays in a bid to fight the vice especially among the youth.

The re-launch of the operation comes days after celebrated comedian and former New Vision staff George Mulindwa alias Afande Kerekere confessed that he is gay.

Kerekere’s declaration left his relatives, friends, children, wife and the entire country is shock. A source close to Kerekere revealed that all his troubles started when he was fired from Galaxy FM and Bukedde TV. There were rumors also that he was sacked because of his gay habits. It should be remembered that late last year, police carried out an operation around Kampala where over 120 gay suspects were arrested and charged in courts of law.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that the operation was launched after they received intelligence information that Ram Bar, a popular hangout in Kampala was being used by gays as their base and planning area where they planned to spread their vice to the entire country.

“We have established through intelligence report that most of the suspected gays were released by court and others are on police bond, many have started from where they stopped and we are very sure that they were the ones who recruited Mulindwa in this evil group. It’s a very concerning matter to the country because these people are even recruiting young students who are still in school,” a respected police detective reveals.

Sources further told us that police is still looking for a one Christopher Kayemba who has been implicated as the brain behind most gay recruitments in Kampala especially of young boys.

A security source told us that Kayemba is very connected to international gay communities that facilitate the recruitment process even though he was once arrested by Uganda police and was released on  police bond which he jumped.

Sources in security also revealed that Kayemba is now a fugitive living in United States of America but on the list of Uganda’s most wanted criminals.

In an interview with this website, Frank Mugisha, the Executive Director Sexual Minorities Uganda said that a number of gay activists were arrested and detained by security personnel and charged with trumped-up charges.

I Can Never Support Bobi Wine, He Is Intolerant And Disrespectful – Comedian Salvador Attacks People Power Leader…

Comedian Patrick Idringi Salvador has branded Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine as the most disrespectful and intolerant human being he has seen.

While appearing on a local radio station (Dembe FM), Salvador said, “Bobi Wine pretends to be humble but he is one of the most disrespectful Ugandans we have, he recently abused the president that he is soon going to take drugs. This was a big insult because Museveni has served Ugandans for a long period of time, how can he start take drugs?” Salvador asked.

The comedian who recently paid the President a visit, preached democracy and urged every Ugandan to support whoever they love without being intimidated or mocked. He further freely expressed his support for the ruling National Resistance movement (NRM).

“Most people are being intimidated by politicians but I urge them to vote the person who is capable and able to bring or continue creating change in our country. We have to support people of our choice but not because of bandwagon,” he said. He added that his support is for the ruling NRM only. “I cannot dream of supporting any political party in Uganda than NRM because it works for the people,” he said.

The comedian who is set to have his show on the same day (Valantine’s Day) with a fellow comedian Alex Muhangi has refuted allegations that he is competing with Muhangi saying Comedy is business every business owner has a right to start at any time.

“I know that Alex Muhangi has a show on Valentine’s Day but it is normal. Comedy is business, no one is fighting the other but we are all trying to push our business,” he added.
