President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has laughed at National Unity Platform (NUP) party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who advised his NUP youths to prepare because very soon they are going to receive good news that the old man has collapsed in his bathroom.
Bobi Wine told to his supporters at his Busabala beach in Wakiso district that they have many opportunities to end Museveni’s dictatorial regime because he is at his weakest point.
Bobi Wine told his supporters, “He was very powerful when Dr. Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere started fighting him in 1996. In 2001, Dr Besigye also joined the fight, the late John Ssebaana Kizito also fought him and now he has weakened and very soon he is going to fall down but we must be very prepared to take over power very first.
“If you’re not working on your fitness, you will not run when told that the man has collapsed in his bathroom and died like most people at his age.”
Bobi Wine told the cheering youths that the way president Museveni nowadays plays his politics shows that very soon people are going to revolt against his government.
He cited the recent coffee agreement his government signed with Italian investor Enrica Pinetti, the proposal to amend the constitution to allow parliament to vote for the president, and the rising commodities prices which are strongly affecting the common people.
He advised them to avoid taking alcohol and drugs because they will affect their health especially their mental state.
“I am tired of people branding me a lumpen because of you, my supporters. You must know that whatever you do in your life including on social media ends up affecting me.
“We cannot take power when we are indisciplined and people will not trust us again even though they trusted us in the 2021 general election where we won but Museveni stole our victory,” Bobi Wine told his cheering supporters.
He further advised them to avoid practicing tribalism if they want to form a united strong force to face off with Museveni and defeat him.
I AM NOT EATING MUSEVENI’S MONEY – BOBI
Bobi Wine defended himself and other top leaders at Kamwokya based headquarters that they are not working for President Museveni nor eating his money as a section of his supporters claim.
He contended that such propaganda is manufactured to weaken them to lose the battle against the Museveni government and turn supporters against their leaders.
“Even those alleging know that Museveni is a bad man and not good to associate with. That’s why they are telling you that we are associating with him, which is a lie,” he said.
Bobi Wine asked his supporters to add more effort in the mobilization drive (People Power Kunga) as they spread the revolutionary messages to the entire country.
The celebrated musician turned politician called upon his supporters to be ready because anytime from now they are going to declare another deadly.
MUSEVENI LAUGHS AT THOSE CLAIMING HE IS OLD
While flagging off Uganda’s first Marine Ambulances, that are operating under the Marine Unit of the Ministry of Health at Entebbe, Museveni assured those praying for his death that for that last 60 years, he has only fallen sick two times.
“I have been active for the last 60 years, almost continuously. I think I have only been down with some malaria only two times in these 60 years. Because I have got work to do, I cannot do it when I’m sick. I have got a mission to do,” Museveni said.
He maintained that many Ugandans fall sick and others die because they are recklessness when it comes to managing their lives.
He gave an example that when the country was battling CoronaVirus, his doctors told him that his body lacked Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 which are essential in fighting viruses in the body.
He said that he feared because many people were dying in European countries due to lack of Vitamin D.
His doctors told him that people in Europe are dying because they don’t get sunshine.
He narrated that by then, he also spent much of his time in cold environments from his office, to his car, and even at his home.
When he was advised, he changed his lifestyle and started receiving enough sunshine.
The 77-year-old directed officers in the Ministry of Health to teach people on what to eat to strengthen their immune systems for the good of their lives and to avoid scenarios where people eat a lot of food and die of preventative lifestyle diseases.
