Mirundi Warns Museveni: You Should Also Expect Blood In Bobi Wine’s Gov’t, The Boy Will Carry Out Revenge Against Your Family

Published

on

President Museveni’s Senior Adviser on Media Joseph Tamale Mirundi has also joined other Ugandans to condemn the brutal treatment of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi wine and his colleagues.

Speaking with anger on Pearl FM radio, the former presidential press secretary warned that what his boss President Yoweri Museveni’s men did to the youthful and visionary leader Bobi Wine planted a seed of revenge in the future.

He said that it’s very clear locally and internationally that Bobi Wine is a threat to the ruling party which Museveni chairs and the Opposition. The political analyst said that the state is aware that Bobi is pulling huge numbers of youth who want change and can no longer listen to Museveni’s slogans of we fought and his achievements of fighting deadly diseases like polio.

He wondered why his boss’ men acted in the manner they did to a young person like Bobi who he knows is likely to take power. He said that in 1980, nobody thought that Museveni could take power, that’s why he was ignored and he was not humiliated like his men did to this young politician (Bobi Wine).

“These people have made a great mistake by creating a big gap between their family and the people who are going to be in power in future. They have humiliated and tortured them. They now fear nothing because they were detained in the military barracks.  The Museveni I worked for was not like that and if things don’t change, those boys are likely to also revenge against the families of those who tortured them when they take power,” Mirundi said.

He told his boss that everybody knows that the future president is not in government that’s why police officers are no longer tormenting opposition leaders but are hiding them and giving them way to escape.

He said that the police also know that there are a few people who are benefiting from the National cake. They are eating well, building abroad and taking their children to good schools at the expense of others.

He added that right now, it’s only SFC which is loyal to the president that’s why they act violently knowing that other security Agencies can’t help them.

“Why don’t you ask yourself the reason why police commanders of that region were suspended, they see that when they tortured Muwanga Kivumbi he is now a very powerful member of parliament, Betty Nambooze is also very influential.” He said that it’s the reason why the commandant of the land force UPDF Peter Elweru is no longer speaking and bragging the way he was doing after the hostile attack on the Rwezururu palace where a number of people were killed.

He said that Elweru knows very well that he can be arrested and paraded before the International Criminal Court (ICC) if Museveni abandons him because his case is already in ICC.

He revealed that other government officials like Gen Katumba Wamala are silent on the ongoing torture allegations because they very well know that at one time, they will be answerable for the atrocities they committed to Ugandans.

Mirundi said that other people in powerful offices are not happy with the way Museveni handles his opponents. He noted that Charles Peter Mayiga is among the silent annoyed people, he was arrested by Museveni men, tortured and paraded in the middle of the game reserve.

He added that in Museveni’s government, there are three governments which are misleading him so that they can take power. “These are mafias’ who are only targeting money, some are fired by Museveni but leave spies around him who update them on whatever happens.”

He wondered the intelligence capacity of the president’s handlers especially on a political matter like the arrest of Bobi Wine, a civilian and charging him in the military court.

He advised that such things are going to dent the image of the court martial. He predicted that the chairperson of the court is going to cut weight and his big stomach is going reduce because they are going to disturb him knowing that it’s a Kangaroo court.

The presidential adviser didn’t spare the first Deputy Prime Minister Gen Moses Ali, who he blasted for being used like a fool to read a statement which shamed him in parliament that Bobi was found with a gun(s).

Mirundi said that there is no one who can believe Ali’s statement because Bobi does not have any gun record. He reminded Gen Ali that he (Mirundi) was a very active journalist when he was arrested beaten by Museveni men on allegations that he was found with ammunition.

“I looked at Moses Ali and I remembered when he was put behind the pick up without clothes and driven from Mengo to Impala house. People don’t remember their history.”

He wondered why Ali had to read such a document. “Where were those boys who eat Museveni’s money to read it. You can’t use me like they use Ali,” Mirundi boasted

Mirundi advised his boss that instead harassing innocent young politicians like Bobi, he should put his strength in the NRM secretariat because it’s the one which has failed to deliver success for the party in the by-elections. He said people at the secretariat are only after money and don’t care about Museveni’s future and that of the NRM.

I Hope You Are Not Jealous and Envious Of Bobi Wine, The Kid Is A Talent – StarTimes Boss Aldrine Nsubuga Stings Pastor Sempa

Published

on

StarTimes boss Aldrine Nsubuga has warned Makerere Community Church pastor Martin Sempa to stop judging Bobi Wine over his new ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ song.
In a post on his facebook page, Aldrine asked Sempa what he has been doing for the past 30+ years of his ministry life if his version of Tuliyambala Engule is as old as christian tradition.

He cautioned him to stop being envious of the kid’s (Bobi Wine) talent. Below is his post verbatim:

Hello musumba Martin Sempa (a friend of mine from old days by the way) ….I’ve learnt that you are up in arms with a certain song called ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ by BW. You may ignore others but I know you can’t ignore me..we come a long way.

A couple of questions for you.

1) Were the words ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ invented by the church? Aren’t those Luganda words just put together to mean something? If so, are they worldly or christian?

2) Did God write the so called ‘original’ christian version of ‘Tuliyambala Engule?’ I ask this because you used the word ‘blasphemy’

3) Bobi Wine’s ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ is his original version.True or false?

4) What have you been doing for the past 30+ years of your ministry life ….if your version of Tuliyambala Engule is as old as christian tradition and you are so passionate about the ministry, how come you didn’t make it a personal mission to popularise it to the extent that by now it should have become a national anthem?

You wait until BW creates his original version , he lauches it, it sounds so beautiful in your ears and then you wish you had done this 2000 years ago??

My message to you my old friend;

1) Stick to the message of the gospel. It doesn’t include judging or planting seeds of hatred.

2) I hope jealousy or envy is not playing a part here. It’s the same God who gave this kid talent. Incredible talent of creativity. Praise God for it instead.

3) This season Liverpool will win the Premier League and am already writing the ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ version for Liverpool for use later this season. Where do you place me in the line of blasphemous humans? Where do you place Liverpool fans around the world already humming to the tune?

4) Out there people dont know what a talented artist you are…musician, dancer, actor..one of the best I’ve ever worked with in the business and ministry. You surely know talent when you meet one especially when it is music talent….Martin!!! Try listening to Liverpool’s ‘ You Will Never Walk Alone’ anthem..the lyrics…you will swear they were taken straight from the bible and the director was God. The words are all spiritually inspiring. But that’s just a football club….It’s called creativity.

Finally pastor, a piece of advise. Don’t retract your statements, I know you can’t….but try taking your original christian version (not BW original version) to a new level and re-launch it. Give it the spiritual tonality and pray for it. Do clips and share them across the spectrum. Give copies to FM stations and Tv stations..rally christians behind it and push…..soon Ugandans will be listening to 2 versions and believe me, they will each choose which version to relate with. Its called competition. The same thing churches are doing…each putting out a different message and waiting for christians to decide which church..

God remains the same.

Stay away from this business of judging a young man whose only problem is excess creativity. I think this is the calling for everyone…make use of the talent that God gave you. We shall all be held accountable. Isn’t there a particular scripture for this in the new testament? Talent is biblical. Its Godly.

The kid is a talent. Hold your hands up pastor Martin and say Amen.

I love you pastor. Remember our good old days when we celebrated our talents. You the dancer, jaw dropping actor and director. Me…the magical footballer and song bird. That’s what I remember….the you I know. COME ALIVE …is what we called ourselves. That talented group. Our group name.

Let this BW kid be. He’s just got a bigger platform. Not a crime, is it?

Bobi Wine Is Not Fighting For Anyone’s Freedom But For Personal Power So That He Too Can Establish His Own Dictatorship – Andrew Mwenda

Published

on

Political commentator Andrew Mwenda has warned that Kyodondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is fighting to establish his dictatorship.
In a message on his Facebook page, Mwenda disclosed that Bobi and his fans are a radical extremist group intolerant of dissent, and always willing to employ physical and psychological terror on their opponents.
Below is his post verbatim:
Yesterday police in heavily armored vehicles blocked a music concert by singer turned politician, Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. I feel a lot of sympathy with Bobi Wine because concerts are the way he earns a living. Blocking him from hosting them is literally denying him the right to live. In an ideal world, this is unacceptable. It is therefore understandable that many people would be angry.

Across social media, Uganda’s pseudo democrats rallied in defense of Bobi Wine’s “right” to host a concert. It is a right I am willing to defend even with my own life. However Bobi Wine is himself not respectful of the freedom of those who disagree with him. Bobi Wine wants power to do onto his opponents exactly what President Yoweri Museveni does to him.

Therefore the defense of Bobi Wine’s right to host concerts is not a defense of his right to freedom and liberty as many may think. Rather it is a defense of the right of a radical extremist group intolerant of dissent, and always willing to employ physical and psychological terror on its opponents, to also capture power and load it over others. I find it difficult to defend the right of this neo-nazi cult to organize for power.

For the most part, the African intellectual elite is a lost human soul. He/she has a view of liberal democracy that is rooted in hallucinations, not reality. He/she treats struggles for power as if they were struggles for democracy, freedom and liberty. As a result the nations on Africa have been clutching from one tyranny to another, causing the same intellectuals to keep blaming leaders, not recognizing their own role in propping up these leaders.

In 1971, these Ugandan intellectuals supported, helped and welcomed Idi Amin’s overthrow of the Milton Obote government. Obote’s administration had many problems but it was a much more benign authoritarian government than Idi Amin’s murderous regime. I have many disagreements with Museveni’s rule but these cannot blind me the dangers evident in the forces propelling Bobi Wine most especially their total, absolute and complete intolerance of divergent views and disregard for the rights of others!

Bobi Wine can only replace Museveni’s enlightened authoritarian administration with an anarchist, chaotic and tyrannical tinpot dictatorship! The evidence of this is so overwhelming that even the blind can see it. Why some of our enlightened intellectuals are blind to such obvious dangers is itself blinding. Just visit social media and see what they say and do. If these social media bullies do not stand for what Bobi Wine stands for, he has all the freedom to condemn them. He has never and will never! Why? Because he shares their values.

The liberal democratic ethos is very weak on our continent. Consequently, our elites mistakes struggles for power for struggles for freedom and liberty. Even Adolf Hitler would would find mass support among our “democratic elites” if he stood against an incumbent even though his personal views and the conduct of his nazi party were clearly antithetical to liberal democracy. That is the tragedy of Africa.

‪Bobi Wine is not fighting for anyone’s freedom but for personal power so that he too can establish his own dictatorship. I find it hard to defend the rights of one potential tyrant to usurp power from an incumbent one. If Bobi Wine believes in freedom, he must first defend the freedom of those who criticize him from the cyber bullying of his social media terrorists! Give him power and his army cyber bullies will act like Museveni’s police or even worse. Why then do so many of Uganda’s elites rally around him with claims that they are defending the cause of freedom and liberty? ‬

‪I have just been watching a BBC Hard Talk interview of Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) of Zimbabwe. I was impressed because throughout the interview Chamisa condemned those of his supporters who exhibit intolerance and employ both physical and psychological violence against people who disagree with them. He even claimed he had reported to police some of his supporters who use physical and cyber violence against opponents. ‬

‪Now Chamisa could have been lying. But the fact that he found it important to distance himself from the violence and intolerance of some of his supporters reflect a mind conscious of democratic ideals. Bobi Wine and Kizza Besigye make no effort at all to distance themselves from those of their supporters who employ cyber bullying and physical violence against opponents. They remain silent when their supporters launch petitions against television panelists who express views they do not like. They keep silent when their supporters hurl insults and abuses against their critics. Will they, if in power, respect the rights of their opponents to host concerts, speak on radio and television and hold rallies? ‬

‪These Ugandan “intellectuals” support Bobi Wine only and only because he stands in opposition to Museveni. They do not care what values he stands for and what forces are propelling him to power. They do this largely because in Uganda’s current situation, it is cool to be opposed to Museveni. To be seen to be against Museveni is equal to being on the side of the down trodden. This is the real tragedy of Uganda and Africa. Anybody and anyone can claim to be a democrat just by shouting slogans, however empty, against an incumbent. ‬

‪If Bobi Wine came to power, it is these, his fanatical supporters, that will be in control of the state with power to decide who should appear on television or radio, write in newspapers, hold a rally or host a concert! If they cannot tolerate dissent out of power, what will happen when they get hold of the state’s instruments of coercion and repression – the army, police and their tanks and APCs? ‬

‪I see the US embassy along with EU ambassadors in bed with Bobi Wine oblivious of his demonstrated disregard for liberal democratic ideals. Western diplomats bring only prejudice to their work, hence their constant support of every upstart who shouts dictatorship at the incumbent.‬

‪I urge Bobi Wine and Besigye to watch the Chamisa interview on BBC and hopefully to pick one lesson or two. For now, only naive and pseudo democrats shopping for cheap popularity can stand in honest defense of Bobi Wine and his desire to grab power to establish his own dictatorship! ‬
