MISS CURVY CONTESTANTS PHOTOS: Who Is The Bummiest Of Them All – Are These The Curviest Women In Uganda

Published

on

On 9th March 2019, the auditions of the highly publicised Miss Curvy beauty pageant took place at Bukessa based club Ambiance. Women with flesh flocked Club Ambiance to showcase what their mamas gave them.

The competition organiser Ann Mungoma told the Grapevine that over 400 girls and women took part in the auditions but they managed to pick only 30. Some of them were dropped because they were above the age of 35. The final event will be held on 26th April 2019 where the winner will walk away with a brand-new car and cash. The Grapevine managed to talk to some of the contestants who told us why they took part in the auditions:

Mariam Namukasa: I was brought by my friend who is a nursery school teacher. I decided to join miss curvy beauty pageant to show my husband who left me because of my size that I have ‘work’.

Among Esther Rihanna: I have always wanted to be a model but it was impossible because of my size, since they wanted the small girls. When they introduced this beauty pageant, I decided to show them what my mama gave me.

Nambatta Milly: I have come out because i have always wanted to win miss Uganda beauty pageant and couldn’t pass the auditions because of my size. I have embraced this since i am shaped.

Nakawuki Brenda Mugerwa: First, I love myself, secondly, I have what it takes to contest in this pageant. I want to show all those that talk ill about big sized women that we can do something.

Nakkazibe Linda: Many people talk badly about fat people and their bodies, this makes some of these people ashamed, I want to change that mind set.

Ayebare Joanna: Am here because people have been laughing and isolating me. My teachers and father have always been telling me that i am not going to get married soon because of my size.

Nakkazi Sumaiah: Many people used to backbite and laugh at me because of my size. This beauty Pageant has instilled some confidence in me.

Awori Esther: I have what it takes to run for miss curvy Uganda. Some men look at us as sex objects but I want to change their mindset and show them that we are also beautiful in our own way.

How Can Disorganized People Take Power, When Bobi Wine Is Not Around, There Is No People Power – Full Figure Punches Holes In Kyagulanyi’s Movement

Published

on

People Power movement female General Jennifer Nakabuubi alias Full Figure has blasted people power leadership and followers branding them noise makers and not actors.

Full Figure said that she thought that as a movement that is fighting for change, they were on the same page of ousting president Museveni with her colleagues but she has realized some members are using the movement for personal gains. “I have realised you have your own intentions, you see everyone as a bad person, everyone as a thief I don’t even know how people power members are selected and how they look like,” she said.

“I was surprised when we were going to visit Bajjo and we couldn’t even make 30 people. Even the people who were there, who call themselves people power follower, it was me who paid them. I had to pay journalists and feed them until I ran out of money,” she added.

She said, “there is no communication among people power members, you don’t call people, when Bobi Wine is not in the country no one does anything. Last time they arrested me, people attacked me instead. You are only good at slaying and taking selfies. When Bobi Wine is not in the country you cannot even see people like Eddie Mutwe.”
