    Pay Shs2.5M Within 30 Days Or Be Banned For Months- FUFA Slaps Police FC Boss AIGP Kasingye With Sanctions…

    AIGP Asan Kasingye has been sanctioned by FUFA

    The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye, who is the Police FC Chairman for misconduct.

    The Police FC chairman went on rampage last month in a game that his side controversially lost by 3 goals to 2 away to Uganda Premier League (UPL) holders and current table leaders, Vipers SC at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

    Kasingye rushed down from the VIP section of the stands straight to the field to protest against a red card that was wrongly awarded to Police FC custodian, Derrick Ochan, a decision that clearly manipulated the game in the hosts favor.

    Afande Kasingye, uncontrollably raging with fury, accused Vipers SC of hiring and corrupting referees to influence matches in  UPL.

    “Vipers are thieves! It’s what they are. Thieves!” Afande Kasingye ranted as he expressed his bitterness.

    FUFA is therefore probing Kasingye on grounds of violating Article 39(2) of the FUFA Ethics Code which provides that; ‘Persons bound by this Code are forbidden from making any public statements of a defamatory nature towards FUFA and /or towards any other person bound by this code in the context of FUFA events.’

    Afande Kasingye’s Fate;

    According to FUFA, Kasingye is sanctioned with a minimum fine of Shs2.5M ( Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings Only) under Article 39 (3) and Article 40 (2) of the FUFA Ethics Code. The fine must be paid within thirty (30) days from receipt of the decision.

    Or, if he fails, he will be slapped with an automatic six months ban from all football related activities both nationally and internationally to be served in the event that Kasingye commits any other specified unethical conduct against match officials or club officials or in case he fails to furnish proof of payment of the fine.
