POLICE STOPS BOBI’S EASTER SHOWS AGAIN: We Invested Huge Sums Of Money To Fulfill Your Demands, Why Are You Stopping My Events?

Musician cum politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is crying foul again after being stopped by police from holding Easter concerts.

Through his Facebook page, Bobi posted a letter signed by the police operations commander, Asuman Mugyenyi, stopping events organizer Abtex, who is in charge of Bobi’s Show from holding Easter concerts at his Busabala beach.

“This serves to inform you that despite the elaborate and clear guidelines well stipulated in our correspondences and the previous meetings we have had regarding the preparations for, the manner, the conduct, the characteristics and security demands from your side, the previous concerns have fallen short of the agreed upon positions in line with lawfulness safety and security….

For example, the disregard for the set and agreed upon guideline has quite often resulted in acts related to public nuisance, violation of traffic rules and regulations and other misconducts which are not only a breach of the law but endanger lives of Ugandans some of whom are not part of the revelers.

On that background therefore Uganda police will not be able to secure your planned concerts and will not risk them to be carried out in any unsecure environment. You will therefore have to suspend or stop such concerts until such a time that robust public security mechanisms are put in place to secure the revelers, other Ugandans who may be affected by such concerts and keep law, order and public safety generally,” the police letter dated 19th April reads in part.

In response to the letter, Bobi wrote, “We have just received this letter from the Uganda Police Force stopping all our scheduled music shows – including the one scheduled for tomorrow at One Love Beach, Busabala. They have been playing ping-pong games for over a month since we wrote to them. Three days ago, they wrote back to us giving us a litany of requirements. We invested huge sums of money to meet their demands, some of which were unreasonable. This was in addition to what we have invested in advertising and preparing the show. I think they thought we would fail to meet them. When we did and submitted them, the responsible officers started hiding themselves from us! Last night, they intercepted the trucks which were carrying the machines for the show. Today, this is the letter they gave to us- no show. Please remember, all other artistes are not required to fulfill any of these requirements and their shows have not been stopped. This brings the total number of our blocked concerts across the country to 124 since October, 2017.

We shall not sit and watch as our rights continue to be violated.”

How Can Disorganized People Take Power, When Bobi Wine Is Not Around, There Is No People Power – Full Figure Punches Holes In Kyagulanyi’s Movement

Published

on

People Power movement female General Jennifer Nakabuubi alias Full Figure has blasted people power leadership and followers branding them noise makers and not actors.

Full Figure said that she thought that as a movement that is fighting for change, they were on the same page of ousting president Museveni with her colleagues but she has realized some members are using the movement for personal gains. “I have realised you have your own intentions, you see everyone as a bad person, everyone as a thief I don’t even know how people power members are selected and how they look like,” she said.

“I was surprised when we were going to visit Bajjo and we couldn’t even make 30 people. Even the people who were there, who call themselves people power follower, it was me who paid them. I had to pay journalists and feed them until I ran out of money,” she added.

She said, “there is no communication among people power members, you don’t call people, when Bobi Wine is not in the country no one does anything. Last time they arrested me, people attacked me instead. You are only good at slaying and taking selfies. When Bobi Wine is not in the country you cannot even see people like Eddie Mutwe.”
