We Are Insulted Wherever We Go Because Of You Mr. President, Please Step Down – Capt. Babu Tells Museveni

Published

on

A former senior member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Captain Francis Babu has urged the party chairman who is also the president Yoweri Museveni to step down so that young people can take over the country.

In a one on one interview with The Grapevine, Babu said that the supreme and absolute power the African leaders have has always led to political instability in their countries and Museveni being an experienced leader and politician should have seen this earlier .

“President Museveni has absolute powers, he runs the whole country alone and he is everything. That’s the reason most of the institutions are now dead, we the NRM people and the supporters are also affected, we are always insulted wherever we pass yet it’s only one person, people think we are part of this, it’s time for him to step down. This has been clearly shown by the recent two elections Arua and Bugiri,” the former minister warned.

While analysing the political situation in the country, Babu, who is one of the country’s most seasoned aviators coutined his former boss that he should hand over power to the young generation particularly the youth just like countries like France and Austria did.

Babu also called upon the president to stop calling Ugandans his ‘bazukulu’ (grandsons) because everyone knows their jajjas (grandparents).

“Uganda’s problem currently is President Museveni, the country can’t be run by one person. In a race there are many runners, Museveni should let others participate in the running of this country,” the two-time Kampala Central MP added.

Ugandan’s Blasting Besigye For Telling Lies Have Memory Lapse, We Have Ourselves To Blame That M7 Is Still Here – Makerere University Councillor

Published

on

Makerere University Councillor Doreen Nyanjura has blasted Ugandans who are calling former president for Forum for Democratic Change Dr. Kiiza Besigye a liar.

Earlier today, a section of Ugandans took to social media and blasted Besigye for making endless prophecys of Museveni leaving power yet he (Museveni) is consolidating his stay.

Nyanjura, who is a die hard Besigye and FDC supporter reminded Ugandans that Besigye is in opposition to see M7 gone, and they have been voting for him because they want to see change. Below is Nyanjura’s post:

“I see some Ugandans with memory laps accusing Dr Kizza Besigye for telling ‘lies’ about M7’s exit in 2006, 2011 and 2016! They accuse Besigye of promising a tsunami, they accuse him of assuring Masaka people that they would witness M7’s departure.

The reason Besigye is in opposition is indeed to see M7 gone, the reason you and me are in the opposition is to see change. You vote for Besigye because you want to see change.

Who would not expect M7 not to be defeated with the numbers that turn up during KB’s rallies? Who would not expect a tsunami when we see M7 desperately paying, bribing and ferrying people to attend his rallies? Who would not expect a tsunami under the current high unemployment rates, high economic prices, land grabbing, nepotism, poverty etc?.

I am still confident, Masaka people will witness his exit.

Fighting for change is not an individual responsibility, is it not ashame that with all the over stinking challenges, we can afford to sit on social media and in front of TV sets and expect full realization of the tsunami to emanate from Besigye alone?

After the 2001 elections, Dr Kizza Besigye was incarcerated permanently at his home, they accused him of forming a rebel group, his life was in danger, many lives were lost. By the grace of God, he escaped to exile. What role did you play after Besigye was forced to exile?

When he returned from exile in 2005, he was imprisoned, charged with rape, treason, murder etc. The temple of justice was raped by the popular black mambas that rearrested KB and his co accused after they were granted bail. He was nominated while in jail. We all know KB won the 2006 election, that wasn’t KB’s victory, it was our victory and we ought to have fought for it until the end.

After the 2011 elections, A walk to work campaign was introduced, KB was at the front line, KB was even shot at, his car was smashed, he was spread with deadly chemicals. The Mulago arrest was such a horror!

KB won the 2016 elections, we was sworn in as the legitimate winner of the elections. Social media was switched off as soon as the video of his swearing in was released. He was brutally arrested, airlifted to Karamoja prison where he survived an assassination. No one was allowed in court during the mention of the charges. He was airlifted from Karamoja to Luzira Maximum Prison and his case transferred to Nakawa court, there were even attempts of transferring the case to Luzira prison in order to isolate him from the public and his supporters.

I vividly and painfully remember how KB used to be transported like a caged dog from Luzira prison to Nakawa court. The caged car had three different caged compartments and KB would be incarcerated in the centre cage, all the compartments would be locked with heavy paddocks.

During his Nakawa appearances, court would start at 7;00am not the official 9;00am! He would appear alone with his tormentors.

When he was finally granted bail, KB made it categorically clear that he had won the elections and he had the evidence which he was ready to produce in court. He went ahead to assure the chief Magistrate that he will was never appear in court again, he said M7 was the supposed to be in the dock answering treason charges because he committed treason by swearing in and yet he had not won the election. Indeed KB has never gone back to Court.

All I am saying is that KB has never let us down, he has always led us, we have ourselves to blame that M7 is still here. Besigye alone can’t defeat an armed ruthless dictator, we have a role to play.

I applaud several Ugandans who like KB have been at the fore front of the struggle.”

I Am Assembling A Team Of Good Lawyers To Help Negotiate Museveni’s Peaceful Exit, We Don’t Need Him On The 2021 Ballot Paper – MP Lutamaguzi Ssemakula

Published

on

Nakaseke South legislator Hon. Paul Lutamaguzi Ssemakula has said that he is planning a safe escape plan for president Museveni into retirement.

Appearing on Top radio today, the legislator said that he is ready to assemble a team of lawyers who will conduct the process of Museveni’s peaceful exit as soon as possible.

“I am assembling a team of very good lawyers in this country to help us retire Mr. Museveni peaceful because we don’t need him to appear on the 2021 ballot paper. We shall sit with him and he will tell us what privileges he wants and we shall award them to him so that he lets us be. This is the only safe passage that we can use to oust him from power because he has captured almost every organ of the state, we cannot challenge him. I am told that he prints his own money which he uses in elections and splashes everywhere he goes.

Look at my brother Prof. Eng. Alhajji Badru Kigundu the former Chairman electoral commission, he can’t move freely on the streets without the companion of sharp shooters because he knows that he didn’t declare the will of the people. He will tell you my friend do you want me to die,” he said.

Lutamaguzi added, “So Mr. Museveni has used the state institutions, assembled it with his relatives, friends and in laws to achieve what they called the 50 year master plan of making people poor, landless and take away all their resources.

The people power group is now the new hope for Ugandans under the stewardship of Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobiwine, he is not the best candidate but his words bring hope to Ugandans who have become slaves in their country. Look at the people of Lusanja, the president was just comforting them with tents and food yet he has the capacity to issue and executive order and their things are installed back. So Mr. Museveni tell us what you desire and we prepare your package as soon as possible.”

Most Ugandan Politics Are Dealers, They Can Do Anything To Get Money From Museveni – MP Lutamaguzi

Published

on

Nakaseke South MP Hon. Paul Lutamaguzi Ssemakula has lashed out at opposition politicians for hoodwinking Ugandans and turning their trust into something they can sell to President Museveni.

“The strategy of uniting is impossible because most people in opposition front money first instead of the struggle. Political parties through their leaders talk about unity and truth and as parties they unite but people’s souls and bodies don’t unite because of selfishness and the hidden agendas amongst themselves.

Being in opposition in Uganda today is a deal and most people in Ugandan politics are dealers,” the legislator said in a media interview recently regarding the National Dialogoue process.

“Museveni can read your soul.  He has mastered that most of you in opposition love money and that’s why it’s the language he speaks these days. Many politicians in opposition are financially healthier than even those ministers in the government. They have alot of land, house among other things.”

He added that because Mr. Museveni is a big strategists, he has captured parliament,  taken control on the national treasury and used the military to crash the opposition even before 2021.
