National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has stung Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa over his statements attacking the European Parliament resolution stopping the construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP).
Addressing press today, at the party headquarters in Kamwokya, Bobi Wine appreciated the European Union for the resolution they passed the Oil pipeline partnership agreement between Uganda and Tanzania.
“We are glad that they cited the issues of gross human rights abuses and gross environmental abuses. For a long time, we have been calling upon the international community to stop being Museveni’s wings,” he said.
He added, “We have been asking them to stop standing with dictator Museveni. We all remember the issue of parliament passing a resolution condemning the rigged elections of 2021.

“We know that we need our oil, we know that that oil is supposed to change the lives of the people of Uganda. But we also know that General Museveni has said it not only once that, that is his oil. We want to tell Museveni that it is not your oil, it is our oil.”
A furious Bobi Wine divulged that it will be a disservice to the people of Uganda if the world democracies stood with a dictator who is only using the resources of Uganda to enrich himself and to subducate the people of Uganda.
“We, therefore, welcome that resolution and we want even more. We have been calling for sanctions and it is at this time that I want to salute our diaspora teams and all Ugandans that have added their voice to our calls.”
He added, “I saw Tayebwa saying that we cannot work for the whites yet he is putting on their wig, not knowing what it even means. As for his boss (Rt. Hon. Anita Among), she doesn’t want people to know that she is from Uganda and that is why she keeps changing her skin colour.”
Speaking of the interparty Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD), Bobi Wine revealed that they told IPOD that they are not Museveni’s friends.
He contended, “We are not interested in having dinner and taking pictures with him (Museveni) because that is in a way legitimising his rule. So, we are thankful that IPOD also saw what we want.
“You know that we took Museveni to the International Criminal court and so we are looking forward to a day when the ICC will also sanction Museveni, his son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.”
Kyagulanyi propounded that if they have Museveni longer, they are going to have a more divided Uganda because he focuses on diving Uganda.
“That is why we want to weaken Museveni in any way, we want to dismantle the Museveni dictatorship, we want to remove a dictator, we want Museveni to fall that is why we are going to cut all his ties.”
NUP Spokesperson, Joel Ssenyonyi also unveiled a new team in the NUP leadership that was voted in July by the National Executive Committee (NEC).
“In July we had a NEC meeting which approved some new leaders because we had some gaps that were important for us to fill.”
The new leaders include; Mr. Muwanguzi Andrew (Acting head of training and ideology), Mr. Kanabi Moses (Acting organising secretary), Ms. Namutyaba Sylivia (Deputy Head of Youth in Central), Mr. Adonio Micheal (Deputy head of the Youth in Northern Uganda), Mr. Tulit Simon Akecha (Acting head of policy and reserve), Mr. Byarugaba William (Acting secretary for the elderly), Ms. Kassim Fatuma (Deputy head of the Women wing for Western Uganda), Mr. Aguda Moses (Deputy youth for Western Uganda) and Mr. Emachu Arnold (Acting head of the informal sector).
